Artist & Educator
As an artist, educator, and advocate, I’m constantly chasing the quiet magic in nature and exploring how it mirrors the complexity of womanhood. My work, often born from the gentle dance between watercolor and mixed media, focuses on botanical beauty, environmental stewardship, and the powerful narratives woven into femininity.
In my paintings, I seek to capture the softness and strength that exist side by side in the natural world. From the winding veins of a leaf to the blooming petals of a flower, I use vibrant colors and organic forms to express the quiet yet unyielding forces of growth, change, and resilience. Each piece is a celebration of nature's intricate designs and their deep connections to womanhood and identity.
I love using art to play with societal narratives, whether it’s through a geode symbolizing the pressures of reproduction or a botanical bloom reclaiming strength. My work invites you to pause, reflect, and perhaps find a little magic in the unexpected, the beauty, and power that lie in both the seen and unseen.
When I’m not creating, I’m teaching at South Plains College, where I encourage my students to find their own creative voices and connect their art to the world around them. I believe art is not just about expression, it’s about transformation, conversation, and sometimes, a little bit of mischief. Through my work, writing, and teaching, I hope to inspire others to slow down, observe, and rediscover the wonder in both themselves and the world they’re part of.
