White Zinfandel doesn’t usually get the respect it deserves, but the White Zin from Noisy Water Winery? Total exception. My BFF - Natalie’s (and my) favorite, this sassy little wine has legs (literally, in this illustration) and a flavor that proves it’s more than just a pretty pink pour. The quality actually shows up for a not so respected, White Zin. Natalie and I are experts at getting lost in a bottle, and sometimes a bath, so this piece celebrates wine, whimsy, and the joy of letting yourself indulge in the silly, the cozy, and the delightfully unexpected. This is also part of a larger series that talks about women as inanimate objects.

This piece celebrates the girls who do it all. They work hard at their jobs, come home, and still keep going. Inspired by my amazing friends, Breadwinner honors their strength, hustle, and unstoppable spirit. It is part of a larger series of inanimate objects with legs and is a playful commentary on how women are often viewed objectively. By giving everyday objects personality and movement, the series celebrates agency, humor, and the power of women who keep moving forward.

The image plays with the tension between curiosity and consequence. Cacti are beautiful, but they are also very clear about their boundaries.
The piece can mean many things. It can be about feminism and bodily autonomy. It can be a reminder that admiration does not equal permission. It can be a cheeky nod to the unspoken rule that not everything is meant to be handled. Like the rest of my series of inanimate objects with legs, the work adds humor and movement while quietly questioning the way women and bodies are often treated as objects.

Valentine, On the Run features a classic box of chocolates dressed in cute red pants and heels, making a quick getaway. Sweet but slightly suspicious, the piece plays with the drama and mischief of romance. Is it running toward love, or away from it?
Part of my series of inanimate objects with legs, the illustration gives personality and movement to something usually meant to be admired or consumed. Instead, this Valentine has somewhere to be and is not sticking around to be picked apart.

Once a humble vintage salt shaker, Salty has stepped off the shelf (literally) and into a whole new life, complete with a pair of perfectly posed legs and a personality to match. Equal parts nostalgic charm and cheeky attitude, this piece plays with the idea of everyday objects taking on a life of their own.
With her classic glass body and softly worn details, Salty carries the warmth of the past, while her legs add a playful, slightly surreal twist. She’s a little bit glamorous, a little bit ridiculous, and entirely unforgettable.
This piece is part of a series that reimagines inanimate objects through a feminine lens, blending humor, beauty, and a quiet commentary on how we assign value, identity, and even bodies to things.

This painting explores the weight of West Texasthe thick, dust-laden air that clings to the skin and lungs, a landscape that is at once harsh and intimate. Inspired by the poem of the same name, it reflects a place that was made for me: where the land’s heaviness carries memory, labor, and resilience, and where one’s presence feels both small and inevitable. The cotton lungs become a symbol of enduring in a space that shapes you, holds you, and ultimately feels like home.

I made this piece because life can be chaotic, performative, and exhausting—but also hilarious and defiant. It’s my celebration of drag, and feminist energy: flipping expectations, poking fun at norms, and embracing the power of showing up fully as yourself. Bold, messy, and unapologetic—that’s the energy I wanted to put on the canvas.

Beneath the sun’s unyielding flame,
The Texas desert speaks no name.
Life blooms quick in fleeting rain,
Then fades to dust and bone again.
In brittle soil, both grave and birth,
The desert shows the cost of earth.
Yet in its silence, harsh and true,
We learn how brief our days renew.

Petals whisper, colors sigh,
Moths like spirits brush the sky.
Dahlias dance in twilight’s gleam,
Zinnias hum a secret dream.
Beauty fades, yet magic stays,
In wilted stems and soft decay.
Life and death entwine and spin,
Where endings end, beginnings begin.
“Beauty is terror. We want to be devoured by it.”
I spend hours at the farm gathering skygarden dahlias and zinnias, alive with the soft blur of West Texas hummingbird moths. Each bouquet feels like a celebration, a small altar to pollinators and petals alike. But on my counter, I watch them bow to time.. petals curling inward, colors fading, stems surrendering. In their dying, they offer another kind of beauty, a resurrection found in letting go. This painting lives in that space between bloom and collapse, joy and loss. p.s. it is impossible to capture these beautiful neon pigments I’m using- just trust it’s more lovely in person.

A garden grows where bones once lay,
Soft dahlias dream in shades of gray.
The pelvis cradles bloom and breath,
A gentle waltz of life and death.
Petals sigh in velvet tones,
While whispers curl through ancient bones.
Masculine strength and feminine grace,
Twine together in that sacred space.
The flowers giggle, the bones just hum,
Both knowing what they will become.
From dust to bloom, from bloom to stone,
The world begins where bones have grown.
